Juan is the youngest son of Cuban immigrants who arrived in the U.S. in 1963. Both parents became naturalized citizens in 1975 and instilled in Juan a love for this country and a devotion to those in need. Juan is a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve and has been practicing law since 1995. He is licensed in both Florida and North Carolina.
After law school, Juan served as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida in Fort Myers for 2 years before moving back to Miami. In Miami, Juan served as in-house counsel for a national insurance company as an insurance defense attorney. He held that same position when he transferred to a private firm in Fort Lauderdale. While there, attending a mediation in 2002, Juan realized he was on the wrong side of the table. Shortly thereafter, he opened his own law firm to serve the injured, and he has never looked back. In 2005, he moved to Charlotte and began working for The Olive Law Firm, creating and developing its workers’ compensation department, which he ran for 18 years. In 2023, together with Lee Olive, Juan founded Olive, Sanchez and Associates to continue the longstanding legacy of The Olive Law Firm.
Juan has successfully handled thousands of workers’ compensation claims and is a Board-Certified Specialist in that field. He also has extensive experience in personal injury matters. As always, he is eager to help those in need face the challenges that all too often accompany unexpected injuries.
